SOUL PROVIDER IN THE STUDIO
Two weekends in the studio proved to be fun, exciting, exhausting, emotional, and filled us with a sense of anticipation to share our new CD with you.
Below are some photos of our time in Nashville and Indiana.
Inside the control room at the Sound Kitchen.  Our Engineer, Tommy gets ready to record the first song with the Rhythm Section.

Our Producer, Jerroll Lehman of Lehman Productions talks with bass player Duncan Mullins during a break between songs.

This is the Yamaha C7 Concert Grand used by Jason Webb at the Sound Kitchen to record the amazing keyboard parts.  Brett Heintzman, lead of Soul Provider says he may never refer to himself as a piano player again after hearing Jason tickle the ivories the way he did!

For all you guitar enthusiasts, this is the incredible pedal rack used by Electric Guitarist, Kelly Back as he played for our session.

Inside the Sound Kitchen, this is the set of drums used by John Hammond during our rhythm session.

This is the isolation space at the Sound Kitchen where Kevin Williams crafted his unbelievable acoustic guitar tracks for us.  Kevin currently tours with the Gaither Homecoming concerts.  We were truly blessed to have such talented guys partner with us for our project.

Now to Gaither Studios in Alexandria, Indiana.  This is the recording console in the Control Room for Studio C where we recorded our vocals.

Our bass, Philip Spinks is still smiling because it's the start of day one and we haven't been worked over yet by our producer!

You may recognize the background scenery in Studio C if you are a fan of the Gaither Homecoming Series.  Some of the early homecoming recording sessions were recorded in that very room.

This is where we sang in the center of Studio C.  This very same configuration is used by the Gaither Vocal Band and many, many other great quartets.  Once we got over the initial shock of it all, we got down to work.

Jerroll Lehman in the control room working with Skip Roberts, baritone on one his solos.

Man can not live on music alone, so kicking back and eating pizza in the lounge at Gaither Studios was just the thing we all needed.

This is a trophy case found in the lobby of Gaither Studios.  Every trophy is a GMA Dove Award.  From what we understand, their collection of awards and memorabilia in the lobby only accounts for about 50% of their collection.  There is simply not room to display it all.

Needless to say, our time in Nashville and Alexandria was great.  We can't wait to share with you the finished product.  You can email us at info@soulproviderquartet.com to reserve your copy of our CD.
